Country Strong movie synopsis: Filmed in Nashville and the surrounding area, 'Country Strong' also stars Garrett Hedlund as a rising singer-songwriter who becomes romantically involved with Gwyneth's character, Kelly Canter. Leighton Meester plays a beauty queen turned country singer who scores an opening act on Kelly's comeback tour.
Gwyneth herself sings the title track to the movie's soundtrack, with help from background vocals by Vince Gill and Patty Griffin. The song was released to country radio back in July.
